Marple artist Chris Hague

Marple artist Chris Hague found inspiration for her new booklet from a similar project in the early 1900s.
Chris, whose booklet `Marple Through The Alphabet' is now on sale, looks at Marple through an artist's eye and gives an A to Z of many well-known places and buildings in the area.
She revealed that she had come across a book about Manchester dating back to 1906 which had been compiled in a similar format. This gave her the idea to create a booklet, looking at the A to Z of Marple.
Some of the lesser-used alphabet letters still find a place in the book: Y is for Yesteryear and focuses on the old Marple Hall and Z is for Marple's popular Zip Wire.
The booklet is on sale at £5 and all proceeds are for charity. It is on sale at Sew-In on Market Street and Marple Stationery Supplies on Stockport Road.
