Hulme Hall’s Class of 2018 are celebrating after achieving stunning GCSE results

With 88% of pupils receiving a Level 4 or above in English and Maths, the Stockport school has much to celebrate.

Said Headteacher Rachael Allen, “We are delighted with the grades that our pupils have achieved this year.  It is only the second year that the new GCSE exams have been in place and already our results are significantly higher than the national average.”

Whilst countrywide, the figures for Maths and English was stable with around 70% achieving targets, pupils from Hulme Hall far exceeded the figures for English with 97% attaining a Level 4 or above.

Miss Allen believes that this is due to the commitment and hard work of both staff and pupils to ensure that the transition to the reformed qualifications was a success.

Said the Headteacher “I feel particularly proud that as a non-selective school we can achieve such wonderful results.  It shows the high level of teaching within the school and our commitment to giving every child the best education possible.”

All pupils are either progressing to further education or have already joined apprenticeship schemes and the school is now looking forward to the start of the new academic year when it will continue to provide quality education.
